Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) is the practice of engineering web content so AI answer engines — Google AI Overviews, Perplexity Direct Answers, ChatGPT Browse, Bing Copilot — cite your brand inside the generated answer, not merely appear somewhere in a list of links.
